So, November fifth is Bonfire night where I'm from, where we celebrate the failure of Guy Fawkes's attempt to blow up the King and Parliament by, well, letting off fireworks and having a massive bonfire and occasionally burning effigies. There's also some really great food because what celebration isn't complete without really nice food?

So yeah, November fifth, once it gets dark so maybe, seven? Outside the battledome and we'll walk out to where we're having the bonfire and fireworks. Dress warmly! Any food or drink is very very welcome.

I go to Catholic school at home, and they've always encouraged me. In their own way, at least.

Maybe just in different parts of the world? Not saying all Catholics are the same and it's not like I've had huge problems personally but...

It's more of a general thing. Some people just don't like magic. Since that isn't something I'm giving up, well...

Right. It's...the same for me. It's a part of who I am. And I guess there are people who are afraid of what I can do, but those are people that aren't worth being around, right?

Absolutely. It's something you were born with and magic is hardly something that you can just get rid of, even if you want to. It has a way of sticking around.

I know so. I tried giving up for a while after something happened at home. It just made things worse.

...why? What on earth could make you want to give that up? I know it's important to you.

Something bad happened in university. It scared me badly enough that I thought I'd stop altogether. Didn't stick.
