[Third Thread] [Video/Action] Backdated to just after return from Malnosso Land

Remember Remember
The Fifth of November,
Gunpowder, treason and plot.
I see no reason why gunpowder treason,
Should ever be forgot.

Even in Luceti.

[Have a grin after that somewhat ominous recital.]

So, November fifth is Bonfire night where I'm from, where we celebrate the failure of Guy Fawkes's attempt to blow up the King and Parliament by, well, letting off fireworks and having a massive bonfire and occasionally burning effigies. There's also some really great food because what celebration isn't complete without really nice food?

So yeah, November fifth, once it gets dark so maybe, seven? Outside the battledome and we'll walk out to where we're having the bonfire and fireworks. Dress warmly! Any food or drink is very very welcome.

Hope to see you there!

[Max spends the rest of the next couple of days rushing around, trying to find the requisite foods for Bonfire Night. Feel free to approach him!]

[OOC: log for the actual bonfire night celebration will be put up tomorrow.]

Any chance we can burn some effigies of our captors? Hell, I'd really be happy just blowing the real ones up.

You know, I'm not familiar with the day.

Why did Guy Fawkes do what he did?

I'm terrified. There go the ghost stories around the bonfire I had planned.

Maybe you can tell some then. For instance, got any ghost stories about the Malnosso? Like where they usually hang out? I'm in the mood to crash a haunted house.

That's a shame. The Viking story sounds interesting though.

YES.

[Simon is very excited when he sees this.]

I'm in. I was hoping there'd be someone else planning on setting things on fire.

It sounds like a lovely idea, dear. I'll certainly help with whatever I can, you know me, never need a reason to make food. Do you want me to help with the fireworks? They're not, ah, going to be actual ones but I am rather good with bending light and such.

Why, are the Catholics very much against magic?

...Ain't too worried about riling up the Papists, are you?

[ after all, the fifth of november is still a stringently anti-catholic celebration in sharpe's day. and although the night's excesses have never offended the soldier, he's only recently in his life become a little more sensitive to those of catholic persuasion. suppose that's what you get for marrying a spaniard. ]

I find it disturbing how catchy that little song is.

Whatever I can do to help. Light magic is e-easier than finding the actual materials for fireworks s-so I hope that'll be good enough?

[ There's a curious hum from him at that. ] I've had it before but I've never made it, why? Oh! Is-is this a family recipe?! [ he sounds so excited about this...don't mind him. He does love to cook especially new recipes. ]
