[First Thread] [Video/Action]

[Waking up is unpleasant to say the least. He was expecting the pain; splitting headache that feels like someone has stuck an axe through his skull is pretty par for the course after what he'd just (just?) done, and the ache right through his body is not unexpected.

The light, the horrible horrible retina burning light, that's more of a surprise. Hello sun! Why is the sun there when he should be in the hospital?

Oh god, how many weeks this time?

Right. Important things. Focus. He isn't in the hospital. He isn't sure if that's a relief when last time he'd done something quite so ill advised, he'd woken up stuck with a million IVs and machines making ominous bleeping noises. There were none of those and yeah, not being stuck with needles was a good thing except... he was fairly sure that he shouldn't be lying on soft grass and looking at some kind of tree.

Oak, probably. Looked that way. An old one by the size and...

Maybe the hospital would have been a good idea.

Eventually he drags himself together enough to make his way out of the woods, grabbing the odd book left nearby. A quick thread of magic leads him towards people, leads him to a village that really doesn't look like anywhere he knows, but it's got people and that's enough for him right now.

He can be found wandering around Luceti, looking rather like death warmed over; pale and with bruised eyes and a bloody nose. He also kind of reeks of magic, since he's too tired to try to hide it right now.]

[After he's got himself cleaned up and grabbed his clothes, he makes a video post. he still looks tired and a little dazed, but less like he's just got into a fight.]

Uh, hey. My name's Max. I'm told this is some place called Luceti, alternate realities, all that stuff.

So, hi, I guess.

What I really want to ask is, I'm looking for a friend of mine. It's kind of important. He's called Brendan. Failing that, there anyone from the Commonwealth here who could give me an idea of anything... weird that went down in the last, I dunno, 3 months?

Also, any idea where I can get hold of craft supplies? Embroidery, knitting, weaving? Anything like that.

Thanks for your help.

[OOC: For reference, Max is not entirely human so he smells/feels a little off, if that's the kind of thing your character would notice. Also, let me know if you've any questions about his magic.]

[She bites back a laugh at his excitement over the mention of a tea house and motions for him to follow as she leads the way. The interior of the tiny shop is warm and cozy and she picks an empty table away from the door. She also slides out of her jacket and holds it out to him.]

Here. I know it won't fit, but you can drape it around your shoulders at least until you warm up. And you can get anything to drink here that you like. There's no currency in Luceti. I've found there's a pretty big selection of different things from different places. Many I've never even heard of.

[She laughs and sinks down into a chair, settling comfortably.] At least you're polite, it's almost an even trade. Besides, there's not many women who'd complain over an attractive man walking around shirtless, trust me. Even if it is winter. Sorry about that. There is a clothing shop here in town I can direct you towards once you thaw out. You might find something of yours there, they show up occasionally, or something like them. Again, no currency needed. You'll find that here pretty much everywhere. At least the Malnosso make some attempt at keeping us relatively comfortable and supplied in here.

Don't be. [She gives him a crooked grin in return and lets her chin prop in her palm, elbow supported by the table as she watches him flip through the menu.] And yes. We do. Sometimes more often than others.

See anything that catches your eye?
